I don't think this is a issue centered on the driveshaft at all. How/Why would foam inside a driveshaft cause a bind/clunk? And I call BS on the slip yoke needing to be lubed.

To me this problem feels like a problem with suspension loading on braking, the brake force holding that loaded suspension, and when pressure is released from the suspension (either from releasing the brake itself or from the jolt backwards after a complete stop) causing the bind.

Now I know the Tundra will engine brake when coming to a stop, thus the rotating force on the driveshaft is opposite as apposed to moving forward under power. This opposite rotational force combine with downward movement of the differential yoke and suspension loading when braking causes the binding. This would present a geometry problem as apposed to a driveshaft problem.

Many have had their driveshafts replaced per the TSP for this issue, and I haven't read of any driveshaft replacements that have fixed the problem. I think we need to head in a new direction with this. Toyota got the fix wrong the first time around.

I would like to test a solution that I think may correct the problem. Put a 5 degree angled wedge in between the spring pack and the axle (where a lift block would go) angling the differential yoke upwards slightly.

Any thoughts?
