You only need worry about the K6 connector's parking brake pin (Pin 1) if you have an RSE (rear seat entertainment). That means there is a factory drop-down video monitor in the back seat area for the passengers to watch. I would assume any upgrade to Nav would not need this connection for any reason as there should be no RSE already in a non-nav vehicle. So basically you can forget about it. I just taped mine off when I did my install.

For clarification the parking brake connection is the purple wire in the following photo. Your color may vary so don't go by wire color, go by pin position in the connector. In this photo pin 1 is the one on the left. Now that you know which one it is, tie it off and forget about it.
