You can go good bit of way with the 26 gallon tank I can go a little over a week on a tank of gas 50 miles a day some times more. You can get over 300 miles with the tank the truck has. I mean the truck is not a prius you guys like the idea now cause gas is low right now but if it goes back up you guys will be crying about how much it takes to fill up. which means spending at least over a 100 dollars to fill up
Last year I towed 3500 miles on a single trip. At 9-10mpg on a 26gal tank, realistically using 22-24 before stopping, that meant I had to stop about every 200 miles for gas. A 45 gallon tank would have extended that range to about 390 miles. On a trip of 3500 miles that meant 18 stops for gas vs 9 stops with the bigger tank. That's 9 less times standing at a pump, trying to a maneuver a 36ft TT in and out of small gas stations-which destroyed my under carriage bump stops....yeah, that's worth some money to me. More time at my destinations, less time stopping and starting.
