Default Re: Driveline vibration.

2002 Tundra SR5 2WD Xcab: 58k miles. I've been having vibrations throughout the truck for the past 3 months. Got progressively worse. No vibration until I hit 35 mph. Was bad from 35 to 45 & then smoothed out a little. Not bad at high speeds, just annoying. Had the tires checked & balanced. No change. had them road force balanced. No change. Took it to another shop & had the tires road force balanced again. No change. Took it to Toyota & asked them to try & find a driveline problem. They re-balanced the tires & said the rotors & drums were warped. I took it to a shop that specializes in brakes & alignments to rule out the rotors/drums. They said there was nothing wrong with the rotors/drums & thought too, that it was a drivetrain issue. They sent out my drive shafts & had them checked for straightness & balance. They said the "rear tube" of the rear shaft was bent slightly. They straigthened & balanced it. Just picked up the truck & it's smooth now. There was no indication of how it got bent. No sign of damage.
