Cold start no throttle response?
A little history 2002 Tundra V8 63,000 mi. Purchase new. I had a check engine code. Technician read code and was O2 sensor heator or something like that! He is a local mechanic and told me some sensors were difficult to remove (almost siezed) and would damage threads beyond repair if forced. He tried and said he could tell that it was going to be trouble if forced. I was having no driveability problems so we postponed repair until warmer weather. In the past month we have had a blast of cold weather. One morning I started it up no problem and as I went to apply gas, the pedal moved but the engine didn't respond? I had to push the pedal quite a ways down before the engine RPM's came up enough to make the truck move. Sensing something was wrong I shut it down and looked around visually and nothing seemed wrong. Started it up and it was fine.....completely normal. Has done it 3 times since each time a shut done and restart has cured the problem. Everytime was cold weather. My question with my check engine light already on from the O2 sensor I have no idea if it has thrown another code. Can someone tell me what might be my problem from my description? Thanks in advance!
