Default Re: 2001 Sienna XLE Power Door Reinitialization

Our 2002 Symphony only has a passenger side sliding door and back in November 2008, it was acting up. If my kids were closing the door while I was cranking the engine, the PWR Door light would come on and the door would get stuck. Even after repeated opens and closes of the door with engine running. Around that time, I noticed just a slight hesistation in the engine turning over. But since I have Denso Iridium Power plugs, and I change them every 30K miles, the engine starts fast and I never bothered to think I had a battery problem. But in prepping for a trip to Vancouver and driving up from California, I went through a mental checklist of items like snow chains, battery, wiper blades, wiper fluid (do you folks know how hard it is to find good anti-freeze wiper fluid in California?). I check the date on the battery, and it was actually the original factory unit from 2002! I got a new one at Costco that evening, and installed it, and suddenly, all the problems went away.
