Re: 2008 Tundra CrewMax w/Sunroof. Rear Window Glass Shattered!
Here is my response to Toyota customer care's online survey they had the balls to send me.
I am disgusted with Toyota's response to the design flaw in my 2008, 44 thousand dollar Toyota Truck. The truck is still in what they call a warranty, that doesn't seem to cover problems with the truck during this period of time. I was relatively happy with truck other than the fragile paint job, until now. Toyota refuses to recognize that the glass is too thin used to manufacture the electric rear window. While driving down the highway with sunroof open, the side windows rolled up and the back window rolled down about an inch, the back windows flexes excessively, something I never gave much thought to, thinking Toyota surely designed the window strong enough for that never to be a problem. Boy was I wrong, when driving last Sunday with the windows and sunroof in the same configuration as mention above, when suddenly the back window shatters, and all the glass falls into the back seat. This is unacceptable. Toyota after calling your "customer care" about this issue, claims to have never had this happen before, when oddly I have found several instances where others have had this happen to them on their Tundra Trucks. Toyota refuses to cover this under warranty. I will never purchase another Toyota product as long as I live. Nor will my wife ever buy another Lexus product. Thanks Toyota "customer care" for taking care of this customer so well, you have lost me, and I will make sure no one I know will be persuaded to buy one of your products on my watch.
