For clarification the parking brake connection is the purple wire in the following photo. Your color may vary so don't go by wire color, go by pin position in the connector. In this photo pin 1 is the one on the left. Now that you know which one it is, tie it off and forget about it.

I am looking to tap into this over head feed "K6" to wire a flip down monitor for the back seat. " basically a custom RSE." I am going to put the camera feed on SPDT switch with a dvd player in the glovebox. I am a novice but a brave one at that.
Do I need to worry about the parking brake "green" wire or is what I am doing goin to do basically gonna bypass all that? Thanks for any help.
