Followup on my speaker problem- Yes ,the wires going to the tweeters does control the main door speakers. If the tweeter harness is cut or disconnected the door speaker will not work. I matched the cut wires and spliced them together and the main speakers came to life. I couldn't reconnect the tweeters because I don't have the connector plug and most salvage yards will not cut up a harness for something this small.
