American Weldings Catclamp issue
For those of you wishing to protect your catalytic converters with American Weldings Catclamp..... please beware of an issue that will cost you BIG dollars. I oredered 2 of the Catclamps for a total of $650. Nice construction and fast service. However, the company only ships you one key for both clamps. And a replacement key will cost you $100. A little dishonest and greedy in my opinion. Of course, if you have the clamp installed on 2 different vehicles.... make sure the one that needs a new convertor has the Catkey. Anyway.... just an issue I thought we should be aware of. The owner hopes you understand too.
<<< Beth is correct we only send one key per vehicle. The key should be kept with the vehicle in case the CatClamps need to be removed. Since the Catkey will fit both Catclamps I do not see any reason for you to have two keys. If you look at your receipt you will see we do not charge anything for the key, we give them away 1 per vehicle kit. If you lose your CatKey we can send you a new one next day. The replacement cost for a new key is $100.00. I hope you understand. Thank you >>>>
