It should be fine although not 100% sure yet since we got 4" of snow here today
But we use this stuff for all kinds of doors / lids on commercial truck mounted equipment and it does use the 3M adhesive.

This stuff should not be that hard to find locally, and would prolly cost me to send it than its worth. You would likely have better luck finding it at a metal fab shop or maybe a RV parts place than the hardware store.
