Default Re: Tire pressure on a 10ply while pulling

"They don't know what they're talking about. I run my P rated tires at max pressure while towing. Anything less and they are way too bouncy. Actually, they're still too bouncy, even at max pressure. Trailer tires (ST rated) should always be run at max pressure per the manufacturer's recommendation."

That was a Toyota service tech that told me that. When I took the truck in for the dreaded 60k service he dropped the pressure to 35 psi then argued with me when I told him 35 was way too low for a tire rated for 80 max. My bet is the guy just assumed it was a 6 ply tire and never bothered to check the sidewalls then got defensive when I called him on it. What really pissed me off though was they claimed they drove the truck after service and those tires at 35 psi feel like your driving on four flats.
