'00 Tundra Boyo Plate Cam Install Questions
I just ordered a VTL350 Boyo license plate camera online and am going to be hooking it up to my Pioneer P4100DVD over this weekend. I just want to see if there is anyone else out there with this plate camera (or a similar one) that can lend some advise with the install.
From what I've read I just have to get under the truck, zip tie the video lead from the cam along the harness up to the front of the truck. Then just run it into the cab through the floor (or firewall?) and plug it into the headunit. Where does the harness come into the cab?
Do I have to remove some interior panels to get to it?
Will it flip to the camera automatically when I put it in reverse? Any idea what the polarity setting is as well?
Just hoping some folks can shed light on this, I didn't find a whole lot regarding my year and this model of camera while searching. Thanks!
PS. I also picked up the Pioneer BTB200 Bluetooth module and plan to install that while I'm doing the license plate camera too. The procedure looks simple enough to put it in, but I am curious where the folks that have this thing have the main unit located. Behind the radio somewhere? Is there a spot behind the glove box to stash it? Should I be worried about having access to the reset button easily, or is the unit pretty bug-free that it's not a huge concern?
