Default Re: Numbers for Tom

The hitch weight was come to by first weighing the truck then attaching the trailer (the trailer being off the scale but the truck on it) with no weight distribution bars engaged. The difference was 880lbs. I believe that my manuel says the hitch capacity is 750 lbs without WDH...it then says with weight distribution hitch 1050lbs...Am I reading that wrong? I did in the interim get 1200lb bars (I was also concerned with the 880 on 800lb bars) that was the next size up in the Reese trunion style WDH. The trailer weight was come to by (after doing the hitch weight) rolling forward to get the truck and trailer on the scale and subtracting the truck weight.

Thanks
Rob
