Default Re: Things My Tundra Does That I Didn't Know...

I learned that when you fully disable traction control, you can launch hard laying down 3 feet of burn, gently stop the truck with the brake while holding 5k with the throttle, let up on brake pressure to allow a slow forward crawl as the back tires continue to scream, hold revs @ 5k while the AT shifts from 1st to 2nd to third, all the while feathering the throttle to hold 5k to keep it off the limiter, watching as the entire world disappears, realizing you left the A/C on as the smoke starts to choke the cabin, letting go of the brake now as the truck crabs off the crown of the road, fully in the throttle now & bouncing off the limiter, steering hard into the skid now at full opposite lock, looking or cops, heading for the tire store for the new 305/65/18 AT KO's. Making one return trip after the smoke clears to see if the street is on fire. Really cool feature.
