V6 toyota engine swaps
I have some questions on toyota engines and trnsmisions. Please help if you can.
1. Did toyota ever put their aluminum block camry/Solara V6s (1MZ or 3Mz) in their pick-ups?
2. Did They ever come with a 6 speed trans or is there one that will bolt to the MZ series engine? If not will the 5 speed bolt up?
The reasom I want to know is because I want to use this very nice aluminum V6 in an engine in a Mazda Rx7.(I love the cars but hate rotarys). The other swap I am looking at is this same motor in an MR2 which has been a popular swap for a while now but with an MR2 trans.
