I assume the highlander is an inline set up similar to a pick-up therefore they probably used the pick-up trans? Since as you say, they did come with a MZ series aluminum engine then my next question is were all highlanders 4WD or were they also available in 2WD? Were they available with 6 speeds or 5 spds?
