The truck is an 08 Dbl Cab short bed Tacoma Pre-runner TRD Sport with the 4.0 V6. I have read that it is rated at 273hp. Is this true? And do you think the truck can handle that much weight? Everything says it is capable of 6500 lbs., but can it REALLY handle that, other then just up the street and around town? Most people say yeah no problem, you wont be outrunning people, but it will do it. Even on the interstate for a few hours on hills? So, should I go for it, or not?
Is your truck automatic or the 6-speed manual? I think the manual is a 6-speed?

IF it's an auto, just make sure it has a tranny cooler. Those taco's are impressive little trucks, and i'd be comfortable towing that boat with one. You're not going to win any speed records with it, but it should do just fine.
One word of caution; find out about the maintenance history on the boat as far as bearings, brakes, etc... These you want in good shape, and i'd even repack the bearings regardless of history if you get it. Also, boats are really hard on tires so be sure it's got some good rubber under it. At least a C rated tire, an LT would be preferred.
Boats have surge brakes, so there is no need for a brake controller in the truck.

Rinkers seem to be pretty good boats from what i've heard.
