Default Re: 08 DblCab Tacoma Towing a 23' Rinker boat

Indigo, I tow a 21' TT with my 05 DC Taco and am pretty close to the weight you are looking at towing. Interstates and hills. Power, not a issue if you tow smart. Never ever tow in D unless you are on a long downhill. Watch the tach when towing with the cruise control. I have towed my trailer over 15k and over some of the most nasty terrain. Taco gets the job done but is has a weakness. Rear suspension, big problem. I added air bags to fix the problem and got a pleasant surprise, found that the truck actually rides better without a load with the Airlift air bags. And I agree with shogren your day cruiser is probably a bit heavier up front than a open bow boat.
