Just caved in and ordered the supercharger from a local dealer who is cutting me a break on the parts and labor so they can say they have done one -- or at least that is their story and the one that got me to make the jump now instead of waiting. Dealer's "expert" was familiar with the problems in some of the Superchargers in the cold weather and has actually gone to school and driven both the Tundra and Sequoia with a Supercharger and at least sounds like he knows what he is doing.
