Okay sorry my bad I had to go review my drawing and TR-7 manual again its been a while since I worked on this particular project, so forgive my mis-typing. I corrected the post above with the correct information.
By adding the 1 seconds delay would not cause any issues and for the timer output time of anywere from 3-5 should work fine to since its basicly anything over 3 seconds should disable the VSC. I would say for simplicity keep it at no delays and 5 seconds as I stated in the orginal drawing.

Okay if you program it right you should see the program LED light for the 5 seconds or what ever amount of timer you have it set for on the outputs. In this case we use the Orange wire as the output -12V to trick the VSC into thinking were holding the switch in for the 5 seconds.
So what you do to test it is to power the unit up by the red and black wire to the 12V source then trigger it by put the green wire to the positive 12V source too and then the LED will go on for 5 seconds then turn off. Or you can just tie the red and green wires together and apply 12V to them and the black wire and the LED will light for the 5 seconds and then go out.

Hope that this is a little clearer, sorry if anything I said earlier that may have been confusing but you got to give the old man a break since I have not worked on this in a while myself and don't keep the instruction in front of me all the time.

Guess if you really run into a problem programming the TR-7 unit you can PM me. You can send me the unit to program and test for you and I get it back to you just another option if you get really frustrated with getting it programmed up.
