My friend bought a kit (as well as the local auto parts store, I think) from hornblasters.com. The shocker kit they have runs between $500 to $600. The guy at the parts store told me he spent around $500 too.

I know they have a quality kit.... But at this point not willing to spend even $500-$600. Wondering if there is any middle ground that would be almost as effective...

I know about scaring the bejezus out of people, I've seen videos like these (check out the guy's reaction at 24 sec).

I don't really want to use a horn to prank people though. After my near miss accidents (due to the carelessness of other drivers not looking before changing into my lane) and where I was blasting my horn for several seconds and got a late to little no reaction out of the other driver, I'm thinking a more effective horn may have helped in that situation.
