Honestly dealerships have two things going for them, their proprietary scan tool and consistency (eh maybe just one thng)

I've got 2 techs that used to work at dealerships, they said there's usually one guy that knows his &$@" and the rest that are average techs, they use the lead tech to fix what the other techs can't fix or screw up.

One of my techs is an master tech with an L1, not too many with those credentials, I'd put him up against any tech in my city.

Point just today I had to take a Colorado to a dealership to flash PCM I just installed. They called me and told me that the flashed it but the alternator wouldn't charge and they spent 2 hours and couldn't figure it out. So I took my master tech out there, he isolated the problem within 7 minutes, I went over to parts, bought what I needed and had my guy fix it. Totally nut checked their lead tech and service manager.

Sorry for spelling, typing on iPhone.

Anyways what I was initially trying to get at, look at a national chain for a lifetime rotate and balance (yes $.01 is a great deal) at firestone it's $5 a tires, $10 a tire for rotate and balance and $13 for lifetime rotate and balance (life of the tires) discount and ntb should offer similar packages.
