Default Question For Those Who Have Changed Their Timing Belt?
Hi All, I have done the research and read most of the related threads but I don't remember seeing this mentioned.
I went to the Toyota dealership to purchase a Timing Belt Tensioner and he gave me something that I have not seen before or read about. The tensioner roller or pulley...I think that's what it's called (~$80.00). I told him I wanted the tensioner ($50.00). Most people suggest replacing the #1 & 2 Idler pulleys ($89.00 each) but nothing about replacing the Tensioner Pulley and my Chiltons and the FSM don't even mention it. What's the story?
