Can a person load up a can-am outlander in the back of their dc with the tailgate closed? I really looking at buying the outlander max 800, but I'd need to be able to haul it with the tail gate closed a couple times a year.
Or would it be easier to just remove the tailgate?

An outlander Max will only fit in a long box truck. Are you getting a 2010 max with power steering or a 2009 without ?
I would say your idea of using a diamondback Is your best bet. This is what i use to haul my quad and tow my TT behind.
