Default Re: Anybody have luck with headlight restoration?

Toothpaste does not work well for plastic headlights, I've tried it.
Plastic is too soft.
The toothpaste clouds up the surface of the headlight lens with scratches that are worse than the oxidation because there is no quick fix to removing scratches or pits in acrylic headlight lens.
Glass is another story. Toothpaste works quite weil on glass surfaces.
On a side note Toothpaste works great on glass top electric ranges.
