After listening to the box a little more today I think I may need a larger Quality amp to power it. I dont think the 300 watt Urban amp is up to the task. I bet the 300 watts it says on it is at 2 ohms. I bet im only getting 100 watts max to the sub. I got the amp for free.
That's very clean work!

If you're bridging the amp into a 4 ohm load, you'll get the 2 Ohms per channel power output, but being the brand of amp it is, you're probably right about the enthusiastic power rating. I wouldn't go with anything less than 400 watts RMS on that woofer.

One way to roughly tell the power output potential of an amplifier is to look at the power fuse rating - if your amp really is a 300W amp (which I highly doubt), the fuse rating should be a minimum of 40 amps (12 volts x 40 amps = 480 watts times 60% efficiency typical for a class AB output circuit = 300 watts)
