Default Re: Rear Window Dead?

Joined the forum to get info on mounting bushings for the rack & pinion steering assembly because toyota makes you buy the whole rack if the bushings go bad. Found bushings (better than OEM) at Wheelers Off-Road for 25 bucks and started looking into the rear window not working problem I have had on my 02 Sequoia since new. The dealer replaced the motor and ECU twice under warranty and when it went bad the third time I decided not to pay for it myself. I went onto some other forums a few years ago and the best advice I could find was replace the motor with one from a 4 Runner or slam the door hard until the window starts working again. I tried the latter a few times and it worked pretty good for a couple of years. About 6 months ago it stopped working altogether and my attempts at slamming the door were no longer fruitful. Guess what, armed with the TSB and the instructions above I fixed it in ten minutes and threw the 5 "extra" parts (clearly designed to rip off toyota customers) into the woods. Don't replace the motor and don't replace the ECU. Just remove these parts and Viola it will work!!! I didn't even disconnect the battery or connectors nor remove the smaller panel on the pasenger side. I just hung the large black cover from the wires and removed the pieces.
