After about a year of truck envy, my buddy finally decided to sell his old Ford and join the Tundra family. After weeks of searching he found the exact truck he wanted. He picked it up last thursday and today we gave it the full detail. The lucky recipient of todays detail is an 08 DC SR5 in Pyrite Mica. Truck had a few light scratches on the rear quarters but nothing too bad.
This is what it looked like this morning upon arrival.
Todays process was pretty straight forward:
Wash/clay
blow dry and waffle weave wipe down
Zaino Z-16 on tires and Stoners Trim Shine in wheel wells.
Polish:
1. Einszettes Paint Polish (green can) with an orange pad and PC on 5
2. Einszettes Paint Polish mixed 50/50 with Einszettes UPP (yellow can) with a yellow pad and PC on 5 for a few stubborn scratches.
3. Klasse AIO with a white pad and PC on 4 to clean up the oils left from the polishes.
4. FK1 #425 wipe down
5. FK1 1000p x2
I was really torn between the FK1 and a 50/50 mix of Zaino Z2/Z5 for my final sealant. We decided to let a coin toss make our decision and the FK1 1000p won. I'm glad that the FK1 won the toss, we ended up loving the depth.
On with the finished pics.
Thanks for looking.
