I have the TRD duals. I'm assuming they sound the same as the single. I like the TRD a lot. It is pretty loud in town but it quiets out on the freeway. It isn't really deep (not like glass packs), but it has a sporty mellow rumble to it. It is fairly throaty if you get on it. Borla is similar to the TRD but it is a little louder and deeper. My TRD duals have gotten a little louder with time. It also isn't annoying on the freeway, which is a huge plus for me.

I think the TRD/Boarla sounds better than the open chamber type mufflers like Flow Master. They have a certain hollow echo sound to them that I don't like. Sound like of like your always driving in a parking garage. I like the packed muffler sound much better. It makes the sound a little smoother. That is just my opinion though.

I say you head on down to your Toyota dealer and see if you can hear a TRD exhaust on a truck. Someone there will probably have one. I did that. I was sold as soon as I heard the TRD in person. I’m very happy I went with TRD.

If you shoot me an Email or PM me with your email address I will send you a video/sound clip I made on a digital camera. It is about .5 Meg. It was made when I first got the exhaust. It has gotten a little louder since.
