Default rear alignment and premature tire wear

Serious problem going on here...
06 sle solara conv- original owner with 125,000kms (canada- metric)

In mid summer my rear tires were almost completely bald due to misalignment- showing more wear on the outside of the tires. (photos available on request)
Previously, I replaced the oem's with Turanza-Serenity for comfort and noise- overall very pleased with this tire!
I use winter tires so the mileage on these tires was only about 30,000kms when the severe wear occurred. The front tires still had 8/32" tread at the time which indicates normal wear.

After realigning the wheels, I rotated front tires with 8/32" to the rear and put new tires on the front.

Now it seems to be happening again with only 6,000 kms since the rotation. I have monitored the tire wear closely and the current tread depths on the rear are:

The outside tread is measuring at 4/32” and the 2 inside treads at 6/32”

there is minimal wear on the the new front tires.

I am doing mainly highway driving and have not hit any large bumps/potholes etc. Front alignment seems ok, no pulling.

Any ideas what would cause the reoccurring problem?

thx my solara brethren
