Well it made it 7 months before another issue came up with the valve train. If you put the engine under a light load the valve train starts knocking like a wood chipper. Sounds exactly like it did when the oil line blew but this time no oil loss.

We were actually at the Grand Canyon when I called my service writer and told him of the issue. I mainly called since we were at 59,804 and I wanted the issue documented. We got it back to SoCal with no issues. The techs had a hard time replicating the issue but I explained to them how to do it at will and they heard it. There's supposed to be another TSB about this issue as well but I'm not sure if it's related to the first failure or not.

Not sure what I'm going to do going forward. I just don't trust the thing and neither does my wife. All my other Toyota's have been great but this one is doomed it seems!
