well, you shouldn't have any issues with HID due to a DRL function....the H11 bulbs have no connection with the amber turn sig bulbs in a 2007 tundra....

but i do like that link/article...very well written...i think the new tundras have that similar mx function relay so that we can turn the DRL off/on via that method...

if you are getting a HID setup, make sure you get the kit with relay harness....alot of vendors in the past were/and are still selling the kits where the power to the ballast is directly sent from the orig bulb wirings.... that $20 relay kit will prevent wirings from wearing out due to high surge current on start up....
