I had the EXACT same problem on my 2000 Sienna XLE and I thought the power door motor was DEAD. I followed the steps to the letter and I am fixed. Apparently the power door was just confused. THANK YOU to those to posted this and refined the steps. YOU MADE MY DAY!!
