Very often I see DRL vehicles without taillights in the dark. The surrounding may be bright enough to give driver a false sense of adequate lighting for the driver to turn on headlights.
I disabled DRL to force myself to manually turn on head/parking/taillights to ensure the safety of myself and as a courtesy to other drivers.

on my '02 tundra there is a wire harness that i simply disconnected. it's located near the battery.

oh...i disabled mine so to avoid unnecessary usage of my plazma bulbs. don't know if it'll really make a lifespan difference in the bulbs, but i prefer to only have them illuminated on demand.

Hi All,

I too am not fond of the DRL's either, wondering if anyone know the procedures to turn it off with the Sequoia?

Thanks.

Frank.

I guess I have never found the need to have them off. It would be nice to be able to switch them off when necessary. Perhaps i will look into that.

I disabled my DRL's because I often launch my trailered boat prior to sunrise.
When at the ramp courtesy and common sense require parking lights only so
you don't blind the guy trying to back down the ramp to launch his boat beside
yours. In fact, at some boat ramps I've been to...it is a safety consideration
(for your own health) not to have DRLs.

I have noticed that some people seem to dislike DRL's. Just wondering why?
