Hey I hear you guys about the headgasket thing. I also have an '89 V6 truck. Mine was not covered under the full recall but under a limited time recall I guess you could call it that I got in the mail from Toyota. I had about 95k on the truck as the time and no headgasket problems but hey, it was free so I had it done while I could.
No problems with it, 146k on it now.
