I used a peice of flat iron on the front, 4 inches long 1 inch wide 3/8th thick with a lip welded on the top, so it looked like an unside down " L" . in the back I used a piece of 2 inch square tubing. Drilled them out, needed longer bolts for the front floor mounts, the back I used the factory bolts plus 4 bolts and nuts for the seat to the new brackets. The seat only went back about half an inch but up just over two. If I went back more, than I would have to reach too far for the dash, as it is I had to get a longer knob for the gear shift. But my leg doesn't rub against the door any more and I can shift smoother now. If you try this, make sure that the front bracket has the same angle as the seat bracket, the rest is easy to do with only hand tools.
