I have the same problem. I am 6'4" and all legs. My last truck (nissan pathfinder) driver's seat went so far back i almost coulnt push the pedals all the way down sitting up as straight as possible. (But then my head hit the roof).
My O3 tundra SR5 dosnt have the power drivers seat and it would be nice if it went back 2" or so further. I noticed it first thing when I got in the truck at the dealership. But after driving it, it's not uncomfortable just a little different.
I have read that the reason for it is to maintain proper distance from the airbag. If you are too far away you will hit the airbag at the wrong time and end up hitting the steering wheel. That is the main reason I have not changed it. But i think I will look at it to see If I can do something different.
