They had already tested it on another Tundra during its development. The one they put on mine is just part of a large give-away they did with a whole bunch of other internet boards similar to TS, for other manufacturers. I think David said they gave away 30 intakes for ford, dodge, chevy, toyota, etc.

AEM is a huge name in the sport compact industry, much bigger than K&N (according to AEM of course ), but they're just now trying to break into the truck/suv market where K&N is the big name so they're trying to spread the word.
