I have the Penn Industries BSM. Its black matte, so I have to get it painted eventually. Some reputable shop quoted me $625 to get it shaved and painted.
But Merzees custom paint & body(most of the stuff you see in Truckin') quoted me $3500.
If your worried about doing body work to your new truck, better new since you have to repaint the doors and the paint wont look off.
Say if you want to shave your door handles, tailgate handles, etc. I'd get that done at the same time.

thats just it... i AM planning on shaving the handles, tailgate, and a few other minor pieces that i want to do... but dont have time to get it done just yet. but... at the same time, if i have to look at that damn grey strip plastered on the side of my truck again, i am going to shoot myself.
eventually (probably in a year or so) after the engine work is done, i was planning a massive paint job, and am kicking the idea around of a ghost tribal flame design... if i jump out of order, that is going to throw a massive wrench into my plans, and/or waste a hell of a lot more than just $500.
i think i am going to give the aftermarket a try just to see how it looks... if it comes out ok, then i'll be set... if not, then i will jsut have to leave the truck in the garage for a day or two until the dealer can get the limited moldings for me.
you know the funny thing is... i always tell myself when i get a new vehicle, any modifications i do will just be "mild" this time. that lasts right up until i get home and look at it again. i should probably get help for this addiction... but it'll have to wait until the truck is done.
can anyone suggest a good place to buy from online?
