Default Trailer Hitch Question - Sequoia

Just installed a Hidden Hitch # 87780 onto my 2002 Sequoia.

After installation, noticed the hitch receiver box was slightly off plumb/slanted a few degrees. It is visible - more importantly, the offset will be magnified when my tall bike rack is installed.

Removed the hitch and carefully checked the hitch frame and receiver box- the frame appears bubble level. The problem appears to be the hitch receiver box was welded to the frame several degrees off square/plumb - thus the problem.

Pretty sure etrailer.com will be good about returning/exchanging the hitch for another.

Anyone else have this problem? Should I insist on a new hitch - or is it common for trailer hitches to not be manufactured to exacting standards??

Just want to make sure that I have a legitimate gripe before going thru the pain of sending this one back and waiting on another replacement.

Thanks - Nate
