Default Help removing dashboard to fix dash squeak (reposted)

Has anyone ever removed the dashboard?

I've found the source of my dash squeak that shows up in cold weather to be the orange dashboard clip that holds the dash to the firewall behind the airbag. I've removed the glove department and have been able to get my hand between the ECU and the steel reinforcement bar to feel the play in the clip. I can also see the clip with a mirror and flashlight.

I'd like to remove the top part of the dash to grease the clips, and would like to know the following:

1. Does the lower part of the dash need to be removed first?
2. Are there any hidden bolts?
3. Are there any plastic pieces to the dash that are sensitive to breaking off,
when the dash is removed?

Simon
