    Unhappy Auto off headlights

I cannot get my headlights to go off my 2003 SR5 when I lock the doors with the keyless remote? I do not have the auto on-off sensor, which I believe is only on Limited, but the manual states the lights should go off immediately when locking vehicle, or 30 seconds after the last door is closed. Does any have thoughts on why this is the case. Help please?

Once i turn the ignition off and then open the door, my headlights go off automatically.

I can't find them on my 03 SR5; Is it just on the Limited edition?

No its in all trucks but you need to turn off the vehicle before you open the doors

my 2001 SR5 had the same issue, but once I close the last door, they go out after 30 or so sec's. (if I lock the truck, it still takes 30 sec.). the second push of the lock button on the FOB makes them go out immeadiately.

    Try this.

keep keys in ignition (truck not running)... does inside light go on when you open door? do you hear "key in ignition" warning chime?

Reason I say that is that my toggle switch on the driver's side door was bent, causing the pin not to fire. Dianne in Calif. figured this out (local dealer couldn't).

then see if the rest of the doors cause inside light to go on, may be a bad door trip pin, so that the truck doesn't know you or anyone else got out of it.
