Default Will I make it?

I recently moved to Kansas City and I'm wondering if my '02 2WD will make it during the winters here? Obviously RWD cars have been around for a long time and when I lived in Maine there were several big old Lincolns that would slip and slide, but make it around nevertheless. Is it going to be a huge problem for me here? I don't know what the winters are like here, so if anyone has any experience with this I would appreciate the info. I've heard that the VSC doesn't like the wintery weather on the 2WD models, but I have no idea.

Can't speak to it, as I have 4wd & don't live in that area, but consider your resale value when you're ready to get rid of it. It's significantly lower in areas w/ snow & ice

Yeah, I thought about that. And coupled with the current increase in gas prices, I'm pretty sure I'll have to pay a dealer around here to take it on trade...

Mine is 4wd and I live in Upstate, NY. I don't even use the 4wd that much and never had any problems with it. The vsc will kick in sometimes if I step on it a little too much in the snow.

That sounds familiar. When I was in Maine I had a big ol' Dodge RamCharger, and even with mud tires in the winter I don't know that I ever used the 4WD other than a handful of times when I wanted to traverse especially deep snow. But on-road I don't even remember putting it in 4WD ever and I did just fine.

Hopefully history will repeat itself with the Sequoia...
