Default Installing a Trailer Brake on a Sequoia

I am wanting to install a Hopkins trailer brake on my Sequoia. According to the installation directions Ford, GM and Chrysler have an existing wiring connection to tie into for a very simple installation. Toyota is not mentioned in the instructions, however I have to think Toyota has this somewhere underneath the dash. Has anyone tried this before?

Thanks for your help

Installed a Reese controller in my 07 and it was easy. The factory wiring was behind the left side kick panel. Theres a plug there and you just plug right into it. My truck has the tow package and had the wire pig tail to hook into the factory plug behind the kick panel was included.

Thanks, I found a wiring harness in the glove box to be used for this. I will look for the connection behind the kick panel.

You've found it! Just follow the instructions with the wire harness and the brake controller and it will work like a champ.
