Turn Signal Blinking Fast
I have an '01 Sequoia and when I use the left turn signal, it blinks extremely fast. The right signal works normal. Here is some info:
1. The problem was intermittent, but now seems to be permanent.
2. All of the bulbs (front & rear) seem to be working fine.
Anyone know what would cause this?

Are any of the bulbs on your left side seem brighter or dimmer than the rest, if any of them do , change that bulb.

99.9% of the time that happens it is because of a bad bulb. Compare the right side lights to the left to find out which one.

It's funny, I've been a machanic (auto tech. whatever you want to call it) for almost 20 years and I see this problem all the time. When I tell someone it's probebly just a bulb, they usualy get a confused look on their face.
I think they are thinking it's going to be some major electrical problem that's going to cost thousands to fix.

Check your third brake light.

Re: Turn Signal Blinking Fast
Thanks guys. I knew that this problem was usually the result of a blown bulb, but like I said in my original post, all of the bulbs are working. I suppose I will change one bulb at a time until the problem is corrected.
Thanks again!

Re: Turn Signal Blinking Fast
Doesn't the Sequoia have a heavy duty blinker which is unaffected by burnt bulbs?

Re: Turn Signal Blinking Fast
I would try replacing the bulbs one at a time. Total cost <$5.
If that doesn't help then I'd look at the relay or a more "exotic" problem.
Or you can get a new relay for $50 first, if you've got money to burn. (If so please send some MY way
)

Hi,
I'm having this same issue as you. Turn signal blinking fast but, it's on my right side. Did changing the bulb out work for you?

Re: Turn Signal Blinking Fast
If one bulb is out specially the double filament or loose from the socket these could cause the blinking fast. Turn on all your lights and have someone step on the brakes, and check all the lights (front and rear).

Re: Turn Signal Blinking Fast
Turn the 4 way emergency flashers on and compare the left side against the right side for a weak or blown bulb.
Some corner turn signals have more then 1 bulb.
