I have an 02 Sequoia LTD. I just noticed water on the passenger floor the other day when it was raining. Looks like it is coming from the passenger side front foot vent.
I tried dumping water down the big drain hole towards the windshield when the hood is open. The water seemed like it all ran out by the front passenger tire tube. I did not notice any coming into the car.
I'm certainly no expert on heater cores, but it may be charged whether the heat is on or not, but it's worth a try. I would try to follow the path of the leak to try and determine the source.
Is there maybe a way to dye the water flowing into the heater core to test it that way?
It's just been my experience with most vehicles that when there's water on the passenger floorboard, its the heater core 9 out of 10 times.

Ty anyone know the best way to test if it is the heater core leaking?

Can anyone send me a link for directions hopefully with pics on where/how to clean out the:
Drain Tube for the AC
Sunroof Drains
I tried searching how to clean sunroof drains and did not get much. Just like to try these things before I bring it to the dealer.
Another point I forgot to mention is I did have the windshield replaced a couple months ago. I brought it to them yesterday and they said they did not see any leaks with the test they did.
So so far I have the list of things:
AC Drain
Heater Core
Sunroof Drains

Anyone point me in the right direction here? I found the two drains in the sunroof in the front. I could not see the other two drains? I still cannot find how to clean the AC drain and where it is located.
So anyway I ran the AC for about 5 min's last night and no water. Ran the heat for about 5 min's no water. Sprayed the heck out of the windshield and it rained last night and no water. I am at a loose here. The water was coming from up under the front passenger side under the glove box more to the right side. The water was not coming out of the heating/cooling vent.

Have you had your windshield replaced? If so, when they reinstalled the grill cover, they may have cracked the clip on the firewall that the cover screws in to. I had this problem a couple of months ago and this was the cause. If I removed the grill cover, filled the reservoir on the passenger side with water, mine would start leaking in the passenger floorboard. Hope this helps...

I did have the windsheild replaced. Is the grill you are talking about the long black plastic piece on the outside that goes the entire length of the hood. It is the piece with groves that seperates the hood from the windshield? If so do I just open the hood and check it that way? Or am I totally off here?

Yes, the grill I'm referring to is the black plastic one that is under the wipers. If I removed that, ran a hose to fill the reservoir on the passenger side, it would start leaking under my dash. The drain tube was working fine but when there was too much water in the reservoir, it would leak.

So just take off that black grill and there will be a big square hole under there I can dump water into correct? Where should I look for the broken piece you are talking about? When I brought it back to the windshiled place the other day he dumped a cup of water down some square hole that was under this plastic grill I believe the grill was removed to get to this not sure though. Anyway when he dumped a cup of water in there it ran out a drain hole by the passenger front tire. It did not leak back in the truck. But that was only a cup full. I will try the hose like you did and see if it backs up in the truck. If it does what should I look for that is broken again?
Thanks for your help with this. It is driving me nuts

Have you had the windshield replaced or were you running the air when it happened to you? My prob is both the air was on and it was pouring rain when I noticed the leak.
Nothing yet. I took off that plastic piece and ran a hose right into the drain box and no water leaked in truck. I even took the weather stripping off and sprayed the windshield and no water leaked in truck. I ran water down the sunroof drains and no water leaked in truck. Only thing left is find where that AC drain tube is and check that. The only other thing I can think off is when I brought it back to the windshield people they found something and fixed it without telling me. They told me they air tested and there was no leaks.
I will drive around with the air on this weekend and see if there are any leaks in the truck and let you know. Maybe since it is cooled down it will not happen with no condensation.

I had my windshield replace but the water leak at the passenger side started 1.5 years after the windshield replacement. I only notice it when its rainning hard and vehicle is park during the rain. I run water for 20 minutes by the grill, monroof, and windshield, and found no leak. Maybe I should spend time on this mysterious leak.
