Default rear wiper problems?

Since it has been cold as **** and snowy in ohio this past week, my rear wiper does not work correctly in the intermedite position unless you put it in the on position first. It will move but only up to the window and then sits there a while. Anyone else?

Default Wiper works but//

My wiper works fine..
But something else has been effected from the cold...
Just today since we got a cold front come through Rear Hatch Socks (what are they called?)
Well they seem to be slower and weaker.

I used to be able to open the back and I had to watch my nose or it would get shoved into my head.
Then to close it I had to REALY PULL, but since the cold came in, I have to PULL the hatch open and it Closes real easy now!

It still has strength and holds the door open easily, but not as great as before.

Anyone????

Default Timer

I think this has something to do with a rather simple timer motor that is on the rear window wiper. I've noticed it on my parents' Toyota Sienna. The motor only has one timer.. so if you turned it off from the intermittent position right after it wiped, the next time you turn it to intermittent, it still pauses for the length of the intermittent pause time before wiping again. Ideally the motor would simply reset the timer when you turn it off, but I guess they save a couple bucks on each motor by not having that... That's the only reason I can put on it. Hope this helps

i think the fluid in the rear shocks has thickened with the extreme cold weather and this is what is slowing down their operation...as the weather warms it will return to normal
