The wife has a 07 SR5 and wants vanity mirrors with lights on the sun visors. The SR5 doesn't come with them but the Limited does.
Has anyone replaced the sun visors with the Limited ones? If so, are they plug and play? Meaning is the wires in the head liner for the visor to just plug into? Are there any suggestions on accomplishing this? Place to get the best price?
i've looked at both models, and yes, you are correct, SR5 does not have wires where to plug in sunvisor with light, so even if you'll buy them from limited, you'll have to make wires come from overhead lights

Where do I look to see if mine is wired even though I don't have the visors? I find it hard to believe that Toyota would use a different wiring harness, especially the last year they made these.
well, i've completely removed headliner on my previous 2003 toyota sequoia, and believe me, found out that they didn't have any wires for sunvisors, and i ended up running new wires for visors

Well I got it all done! My Sequoia did have the wiring harness for the Sun Visors and it was plug and play.
Toyota installed two different wiring harnesses in the roof depending on the options installed at the factory. I think mine had the harness because it has the moon roof. This seems to be the only difference between the harnesses.
It was actually very easy if anyone is interested.
How much did this end up costing, and where did you get visor's from?
My wife wants the same thing. It's beyond me why Toyota doesn't have this standard on a Sequoia.

Thanks,

I bought them at my local dealer for 105 a piece. 210 + tax and that was it as mine was wired for them.
If your isn't and you want the factory harness add another $100 for the harness. Some people on here used there own wiring to power them.
If you want to check how to see what harness you have, I can tell you how. It's fairly easy with basic tools and 10 minutes.

If you pull the plastic trim covering the drivers side pillar, you can read the part number on the wiring harness that runs to the roof. Mine had the part number that the parts department said I would need for the sun visors to work. Was very easy to find once I figured it all out.
