Default Bistein Height Adjustable Shocks

Anyone tried these BE5-6929-H5 shocks in the front of the their Sequoia? They can be set to stock, 1, or 2 inches of lift for a Tundra.

If you put them on let me know how they work, I've had Bilsteins on another vehicle before and know they make an excellent product, I have to wonder if they just aren't marketed at the Sequoia because they are valved a little stiffer for the Tundra. If that's the only reason I've seen many times guys post they have regular Bilsteins installed on their Sequoia (also for Tundra) and they say they're great. I need to install airbags on my rear anyway so I was thinking these adjusted to 2" in the front and the airbags to keep the rear as high as unloaded height, the truck would sit way nicer. I need new summer tires anyway and a set of 285/70 17 BFG AT's would finish it off nice.

I ordered the adjustable Bilsteins along with some 285 BFG's AT/KO's for my chrome 17's, rear HD Bilsteins and airbags. Everything should arrive by midweek next week. I'll likely install it all next weekend and see how it sits from there.

Not the reason I waited but my CPO warranty runs out tomorrow.

I bagged my '03 Limited last week and I absolutely love it. I ended up with Airlift's kit and got out for under $200 installed.

If you're doing the install yourself, can you document it and provide photos and any issues or tips you come across? I'm considering going with the same or similar setup soon and would like to try and tackle it myself.

I'll take photos for sure. I've got the tires and the airbags but the bil's haven't showed up yet. Last night I jacked it up front and rear for some measuring with the tires and have decided to order the Downey 2 inch coils for the rear.

Downey Off-Road

I have little faith those airbag will last forever and think I need a little more support for when I'm towing out trailer and loaded with gear. I like the level look but realize if I blow a bag while loaded on a long trip things'll suck. So I'm installing the 2 inch coils and the bags. I'm ordering the springs on Monday as well as getting the tires mounted on my rims, guess it'll be next weekend at the earliest. My other option is a spacer but I'm thinking springs would be best. I really sag the rear end sometimes on trips without the trailer so some slightly heavier duty springs will probably help.

I recently(3000mi) had them installed, along with the yellow HD bils.

I also have 285/70 17 Revos on the stock 17" wheels. The froont adjustable shocks were installed one from the highest perch, giving 1.5-2" lift. The truck now sits a little nose high, so I will be looking into the Airlift 1000 or a small spacer to bring the rear up .5-1".

The ride and handling are night and day compared to the stock units, which in fairness, had 73k on them when replaced. Much firmer, much less rollover with the wider tread. I have noticed a bit of grease escaped my CV joint, but only from me really stretching it out in the woods.

I 'll get some pics when I can. The truck doesn't look big, but it lost that riding on 4 donuts look it has with the stock setup.

Sounds nice I look forward to the pics. UPS apparently destroyed my front coilovers in shipping so a new set was shipped out. I should finally have them in my hands on tuesday. I already got the BFG's mounted on my rims and plan on starting all the lifting Tuesday. I decided on Daystar 2 inch spacers because I was a little worried the downey coils would be too firm. I'll post pics too when I'm done.

It's basically done, I have a few little things to do. Putting spacers in the front, the tires rub just a little. I also have to plumb the air lines but the bags and spacer combined worked very well I believe. I'll start a new thread with install pictures soon - I took lots.

I took it for a drive and it handles much better now, my factory tokiko's were pretty much toast in the front and one rear was leaking and only half full of oil/gas. It also looks great .
